NW Community Alliance Board of Directors

Grant has a varied history in business, from working in professional kitchens before he was even out of high school, to spending 17 years in retail. He has always had a passion for education, which led him to the fire service where he pursued every certification he could in fire and EMS. After that, he set his sights on higher education and earned three master’s degrees over 4 years.
He holds a Master of Science in Data Analytics, Master of Science in Management and Leadership, and a Master of Business Administration. Grant’s primary focus has always been creative resolutions to problems, particularly in the HR world.

Carol Snell has been a friend of NW Community Alliance for almost 20 years and a board member for much of that time. She has been instrumental in the success of the organization and has helped the organization survive many challenges.
For 16 years, Carol helped low-income families as the Executive Director of Northwest Oregon Housing Authority. Since retiring in 2010, she has been serving her community non-stop.
For the last 14 years Carol has been volunteering with Warrenton Grade School helping kindergartners and 1st graders practice their reading. She has served on five City of Warrenton advisory boards. She is still involved with two of those boards. She has been heavily involved with Spruce Up Warrenton’s community events, including leading Warrenton’s 4th of July Parade as Grand Marshall in 2023. In 2022 the City of Warrenton and the Astoria-Warrenton Chamber of Commerce honored her with the Richard Ford Distinguished Service Award which “is given to a person who has devoted time and energy in countless ways to the community.”
When she is not serving others in the community, Carol likes to visit with friends. In the summer she likes to take long road trips with her sister. Her beloved dog, Bob, keeps her company through it all.
